Dry Carpet Cleaning

We do not use “dry carpet cleaning” methods.

Before SCC opened its doors, we extensively researched different cleaning methods and solutions. The only thing that has changed in 20 years is some of the solutions.

With dry cleaning there is no extraction – other than using a buffing pad and a sticky solution. The idea is that the dirt will stick to the dirty pad. The problem is this method only buffs the surface of the carpet and leaves a sticky residue to attract new dirt.

We have found the biggest concern consumers have is the dry time with steam cleaning. For this reason we chose the truck-mounted steam cleaning over the portable steam cleaning whenever possible. With our truck-mounted machines we are able to pull 95% of the water out of the carpet which helps the drying time considerably, and results in a much cleaner, residue free carpet.

Slightly damp carpet is actually very resilient to dirt. You can walk on the carpet as soon as we are done. We just recommend you wear house slippers or clean shoes so your feet don’t get wet.
